Chat Center- this service is available for all mobile phone Users, who will have downloaded the Share with a Counsellor App for Android phones from Google Store and iPhones from the Apps Store (coming up soon). This e-platform allows any User from anywhere in Kenya and later other regions, to book a Chat therapy within a set professional fee. No one needs to go through the painful life experiences and encounters alone, a counsellor is a Chat away; guide your thoughts processes and restore mental wellness.
Access to Services Through the Mobile Application the User will be expected to have installed and subscribed for our services. In the Chat Therapy Center, s/he will book a Chat therapy by filling the intake form, upon submission, they will be prompted to make payment of the professional fee from their e- Wallet. The office will get in touch with the User on the medium of conducting the service via their email address within 2 hours. The Chat Center has given Kenyan especially teens and youth an opportunity to share, the best way they know how to ‘Chatting". The Chat Center will be open from 6.00 am to 10.00 pm for clients via the mobile phone app. The process of accessing the Chat Therapy Services is comprehensively guided in the App
Mode of Therapy provided- Share with a Counsellor Agency is providing Brief Therapy sessions through Chat Therapy to clients/customers seeking psychological services; but uncomfortable with phone call conversation. The brief sessions will take place at the comfort of both clients and counsellor’s space (institution, home, or office, car, open space ...) via their mobile phone. The Chat-Center allows App Users to share with professionals when going through emotional turmoil. Chat Services is mostly a reserve of teenagers and youths who are more inclined towards Chatting and Sending Short Messages (Sms), compared to making calls. Victims of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) may also prefer to chat with a professional, as a way of seeking guidance on available interventions and way out of danger, without alarming the perpetrator if privacy is an issue of concern.
Beware of your emotions- Some of the factors causing emotional distress include the inability to manage Change & Transition; Conflicts ( internal and external); Stress & Burnout, Panic Attacks & Anxiety (especially during examinations mostly caused by fear of failure or unrealistic goals); Poor Relationship (mostly attributed to trust issues and reliance on external locus of evaluations for people of low self-esteem); Loss & Grief, Bereavement; Traumatic and Post Stress Traumatic Disorder- (PSTD); Addictions behaviors to ( Alcohol, Drugs, Gambling, Masturbation, Pornography, Sex, Food, Work, Computer games, etc.); Even the normal mental confusion among others. Chat Therapy comes in this space to provide a healthy alternative in social media, instead of seeking solace at the social media platforms, where very few of your followers’ care to help.
Share with a Counsellor- intends to demystifies mental health by reducing stigma and discrimination associated with it. This will contribute towards the repairing of cracks that exist due to torn social fabric in our society. These cracks are blamed for leaking out the potentials and morals values of our youth and teenagers. Use this opportunity to get help from the most appropriate counsellor and retain them as your personal therapist. The User will be attached a counsellor for a stipulated duration, to hold Chat Therapy at their convenience. This will remain a brief therapy and therefore clients who need a recommendation letter after the session, should book services at the Therapy Center where comprehensive therapy is done. “My dark days made me stronger.
