Share Center Services (Request a Call)

The Share Center- this service is available for all mobile phone Users, who will have downloaded the Share with a Counsellor App for Android phones from Google Store and iPhones from the Apps Store (coming up soon). This e-platform allows any User from anywhere in Kenya and later other regions, to book a Call from the Agency within a self-regulated professional fee. No one needs to go through the painful life experiences and encounters alone, a counsellor is a phone call away; to listen and guide your thoughts processes and restore mental wellness.

The Share Center is linked to the App- The service center is integrated within the App, and therefore the User need to had installed the App and subscribed to our services. The App is also internet reliant and therefore the User should have internet source for now, before we set the USSD Service point (coming up soon)

The Call Charge in on the Agency not the Client- The User will be expected to book a call in the Share Center portal, indicating the amount of time s/he would like to spend on the call. Once payment for the professional service is made between 0-20 minutes, the User will dial to request for a call back. The system will use the phone number dialed to call the User back, within 10 minutes. The services are anonymous and therefore the User has all the privacy they require to Share, because there is no intake form or other documentations. This call is at the expense of the Agency not the User, irrespective of the local mobile network used. The Share Center will provide services to the public from any part of the country for 18 hours (6.00 am to 12.00 midnight) every day of the week.

Anonymous Therapy- Besides the minimal information provided during the registration of the Mobile Phone Apps for authentication, services at the Share Center remains anonymous for the clients. Therefore, the User has all the privacy they need to seek mental wellness on whatever presenting issue with an assurance of confidentiality and its limits. People who need to seek Anonymous Therapy can use the Share Center services for to book a Call back of a duration range from 30- 60 minutes. The process entails, the User while within the App- Share Center portal, to pick on the appropriate time, make payment, pick presenting issue and booking a Call back within 24 hours (6.00 am to 12 midnight) of the same day. The office will communicate with the User on the medium of to be used for the call back and confirmation of call time through their email address. The Share Center will provide services to the public from any part of the country for 18 hours (6.00 am to 11.00 Pm) every day of the week.

Psychological Ambulance- The public will access Brief Therapy sessions when going through challenging situations and need to talk to someone. Share with a Counsellor at the Share Center will listen and guide accordingly. The Share Center will also serve as an outlet to offer Psychological First Aid (PFA) in case of disaster/emergency; the subscribers who seeking help will be supported to Safety, Calmness, Self & Collective efficacy, Connection, and Hope (the 5 key components of PFA according to Laura (2017). This could avert impulse actions when a person is emotionally worked up and going through a crisis; possibly to be blamed for the increased cases of Gender-Based Violence (GBV), suicide, and homicide cases. “Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable.
